In my experience the people have have been professional and kind. I love their organization so I'm very happy to give them my money, of which they don't even ask for a lot of. My only, slightly big problem with this particular PP is their hours don't seem to cater to working women, who are arguably their biggest customer base. They are not open on weekends and are never open before 10. They close at 5 three out of the four days they are open. And even on Wednesdays, there's only one appointment after 5! They're not even open until late morning or noon so you can't even call them until you're already at work. I don't know about you, but most working women including myself can't afford to take a day off like that. I would love to give PP my money but I simply can't lose 8 hours of pay.
I booked an appointment online. After calling my own insurance, I had a couple of questions about insurance coverage and cost of appointment if not covered, so I called PP santa fe. I was taken to voicemail and left a message. 1-2 days later I did the same again. I then emailed hoping to get a response that way. I never once received a response by email or by phone. A week later, I went to my appointment, they informed me that I may not be covered by my insurance and that they do not provide sliding scale payment based on income. I watched as they neglected to pick up their ringing phone, though there was no one in the waiting room to help.
I will not be coming to this clinic again. They were unprofessional and rude. I knew more about the services provided than the nurse who was helping me. She had to go ask her manager who confirmed that I was correct. I felt completely scrutinized for being a single mother and having to bring my child to the clinic with me. I walked out mid appointment and went to my general practitioner who saw me right away could have cared less that my child was there with me. I was treated the same at the lab we were sent to for blood work. They were nothing but nice to me and my child.
Just left my first visit to this PP location and am very happy with my experience. I was unsure about my new insurance coverage and the two girls up front went above and beyond by thoroughly researching my plan and walking me through the billing process. Funny, kind, and professional! The NP I met with explained the various generic/dosage options of a pill I've been on for years and helped me choose a new script. Thank you ladies!
For the record as a family service provider and a champion of women's health you should cater to all women. Even single women with no familial support who were not able to secure a babysitter. Wanted to give my money to your organization as I have since I was a teenager but I won't be doing that any longer.
Everyone there is so wonderful and helpful. Never had to wait for my appointment.
