We love movies. We love UA Cinema 6. C Crown Violent can be a bit much. Go mellow at DeVargas. Alternative films plus a quiet atmosphere - a respite from the Railyard chaos.
I go to De Vargas UA often. It's actually my preference the other two commercial movie theaters we have here in town. While, the majority of their patrons are usually 40 years my senior, I can't complain. Great alternative choices for film that I otherwise wouldn't have the pleasure to see in theaters. Their theaters, (while older) are reliably clean and free from the popcorn bits that are typically left on the floor. If you're lucky, and score a showtime during their low key weekday hours, you may find yourself as the only person in the theater as I have on a few occasions. This does give you the sense that you're in your own private movie theater or attending an advanced screening of the film you're watching. If you're not so lucky to find yourself in this introverted haven, you should happy to know that their theaters are almost never overcrowded. Even during their busier weekend hours. I have personally never found myself waiting for more than ten minutes in the ticket line or more than five at the concession counter. Their staff, are always cooperative and straightforward. I have no complaints about them whatsoever. Overall, De Vargas UA is a great alternative theater for alternative film. It is free from the congested feel of Violet Crown and Stadium 14. A theater that perhaps can best be described as a hole in the wall, but a visit there is something not to immediately dismiss.
