Nature oriented (Interesting wilderness program) and rounded with art, (painting, wood working, hand crafting, etc) rythm, limits and love, Waldorf Education is declared by UNESCO the Education of the Future!

Proud to be a parent of 3 actively engaged, interesting and inspired students at the Waldorf School. It's the best, most well-rounded education in town, hands down! Develops life-long learners who are articulate, competitive and creative.

Best School in town! Waldorf Pedagogy is the most experienced Education in meeting human needs in every single moment of the evolution of the child.

I was a student at Santa Fe Waldorf School for three years, and in that time I have been mistreated and have witnessed the mistreatment and abuse of fellow students from teachers. I witnessed one of my classmates be yanked onto the floor and dragged by a teacher, and I myself have been yelled at and humiliated by my primary teacher for my struggles at the time with reading and writing. Rather than my teacher actually teaching me or helping me with the subjects I struggled in, they refused to answer my questions or care at all about my success. After numerous incidents with this instructor, which many students experienced, the school refused to address these issues and did not punish the teacher in any way. I hope that some changes have been made since I have left, but from my experiences at this school, I could not even recommend it to greatest enemy. Future students and parents beware.

My son started in preschool and graduated from the high school in 2011, attending Berklee College of Music thereafter, well prepared by the curriculum and teachers, especially with its focus on music. My daughter attended from preschool through eighth grade. We found the emphasis on critical thinking, practical application ( including handwork, art, and music), and outdoor exploration a welcome change from other local schools and a significant contributor to their growth as fully developed humans. The small size and continuity of teacher staff allow each child to learn on his/her individual level with a feeling of family. The focus on the natural world and imagination while attempting to minimize the forces of media during the early years is a powerful and laudable emphasis on child development. The campus is lovely, the sports programs strong, parental and community involvement open and embracing, and our whole family greatly benefited from the education we all received.

Every morning, when I walk through campus, I see sweet, open, smiling faces of children. I hear singing and recitations, I see active learning of math on the playground, where children skip and hop while adding and subtracting. I like how older children come to visit kindergarten and preschool and present their songs, and seasonal performances to the little one. I am deeply honoring all the teachers, as I get to see various grade teachers interacting with their students, with kindness, interest and attention of the uncommon kind. I am glad we have a school like this in Santa Fe!

The unique experience that children receive allows their creativity to blossom. They discover all the skills and talents that they already have reinforcing self confidence, self respect and self love. Regular clases like Math or English are approached with creativity and in an artístic way.

I am a SF Waldorf School parent. I love this school - for its incredible educational philosophy that honors the spirit of childhood and nourishes life-long love of learning. I see daily opportunities for exploration, incredible artistic expression by all the children, and am very pleased with the rigorous academic environment for grade-age children.
