I love Natural Grocers because of it's straight forward, no nonsense marketing of health foods, supplements, & many other products. (And, that it started as a family venture. I forgot the woman founder's name & miss seeing her & the history on the wall.) Included are your birthday card display, cotton socks, incense, finger brushes, the hollow wax candles for getting rid of ear wax, corn cob kitty litter & many other non food items, etc,etc! Plus, the staff are wonderful. And, I love the great fresh ground peanut butter & candy aisle. So, pllease don't change anything, including the radio station!
Usually the best prices in health food. Kind, attentive, and helpful employees. We'll stocked, though very small pricey selection of produce.
Knowledgeable staff, especially about the supplements. They are not a supermarket so selection of produce and other groceries can be limited, but they are always willing to order things for you or to keep in stock. Has a cozy feel to it, and is a great alternative to the co-op on the other side of town.
I love this store!! Up until two years ago, I had been a SF resident for over 30 years. It has been great to watch them grow over the years. I have always appreciated the lower prices on supplements and the very helpful and knowledgeable staff there. I go there for supplies every time I visit Santa Fe! And looking forward to going this summer.
Produce isn't as extensive or exotic as Whole Foods, but they cover the basics. Lots of other things are cheaper than WF, and they have a very good selection of products overall. I love supporting a family-owned business, and it no sacrifice to do so at Natural Grocers.
