I've purchased blinds for three rooms from Custom Window Coverings and had them installed. They are professional, on time, no hard pressure sales, clean up afterwards. The blinds are just what I wanted and I will probably order blinds for one more room from them. I highly recommend them.
I am totally happy with the product and service of Custom Window Coverings. They were very patient with me as I changed my selection. Their installer knew his stuff--he worked quickly and showed me all the features of my shades. Great experience and I love the finished product.
My wife made the initial contact at their store front. She said the person she spoke to wasn't very pleasant. In fact enough so that she thought about going somewhere else. But she stuck it out and set up a site walk and quote. This went smooth with the owner. We didn't realize how technical the ordering of shutters could be. Right side versus left side and which way will they slide and open. Once ordered we waited. The product had to be shipped from the manufacturer. It was an extensive wait. We had to keep checking on the status which was irritating. The product arrived and the installers found pieces damaged. A wrong piece was also shipped. This wasn't the fault of CWC. They reordered and we waited. The installers came back and finished one room, but found out once again the mfg. had bungled the second shutters design. CWC reordered again. The third time was the charm. I liked their installation crew. The two men were professional and easy to work with. As I said earlier I rated average and not great because we needed to inquire instead of being kept informed throughout the process. Otherwise we are happy with the end result. Judith has been very nice with our post installation interactions.
We purchased a high end condo for investment. It was important to have window treatments that added value to the unit. I believe that was accomplished with the product from Custom Window Coverings. The shutters were pricey, but in the end we felt the ROI will make them worth it. The reason for rating this experience 3 stars is the lack of communication we received through the process.
