I would recommend this company for any of their services.
I had a specific date in mind for delivery, which they actually beat by 3 days, as they made my delivery a priority in their route. The truck driver was the same person who packed my items from the storage facility and I could see when they opened the doors that they took great care in the placement and protection of the furnishings. With two persons unloading and asking me to verify the inventory as it came off the truck, the job went fairly quickly. Very pleasant, communicative, respectful, and helpful throughout the entire process. Nothing lost, stolen or broken!
Following a 10 year relationship (literally) with Johnson Moving and Storage for home furnishing storage in Santa Fe while I was working overseas, I was able to finally have my belongings moved to a new home in Phoenix, Arizona. The team I worked with for storage all these years were great, and the individual I worked with to coordinate the moving/delivery of everything was the same person who helped me 10 years ago. That says something about stability and loyalty of their employees!
DO NOT USE JOHNSON MOVING AND STORAGE IN SANTA FE!
We used Johnson Storage & Moving for our move and temporary storage. They were fast, thorough, and reasonably priced for our needs. The manager Tom Springer was very helpful and attentive, the moving crews are a great bunch of guys that get the job done. I would recommend this company to anyone who is moving and needs to store their belongings. Great job!
While our overall experience with United Van Lines was positive. I cannot recommend Johnson Storage & Moving Co. Our moving coordinator did not contact us or return our calls. We had to contact the national office for any information on our move!
"The worst move you'll ever make". Lack of transparency and integrity. I've used them twice so I know it's not a fluke I had poor customer service and a bad experience overall both times. My items took longer and were more expensive to ship than I was told by the agent. The GM was extremely rude and aggressive with me- zero customer service skills. To add insult to injury my stuff showed up covered in bird poop. I'm not sure why so many 5 star reviews, but for my experience I wish I could give less than 1 star. The bright spot is that all their manual labor persons are polite, kind and professional- too bad management/logistics can't be the same.
We moved with United Vanlines. United contracted Johnson Movers in Santa Fe to help with part of the move. The crew showed up late. They did not wrap a single piece of furniture. They dropped fragile boxes on the concrete. we tipped the three crew members $100 each with the hope that they would care for our belongings. At the end of the two-hour loading onto their truck, I did a walk-through and discovered that in the upstairs guest bath, there was urine all over the toilet seat, floor and bath tub, waxy debris was coating the sink and vanity and the new white towels (which the home buyer wanted left in the bathroom as a part of the terms of the sale) were coated with black gunk. I cleaned the bathroom the best I could and bought new towels to replace the damaged ones. If I hadn't checked, our home sale would not have gone through because of this. Also, the crew dumped their coffee out onto our front porch, six inches from soil where it wouldn't have stained the porch. At the end of the move, it was discovered this crew lost some of our items and damaged most of our furniture. This company has no pride in their work and no concern for their customers or their customer's things. Please do not trust this company with your belongings. If United Vanlines cared about its customers, they would do something about this unprofessional and negligent company.
