I had high expectations and they were met! Great New Mexican food. This place can definitely get busy so if it's possible get reservations. Margaritas we're great (and strong ;)...)
Loveee me some Tomasita's. The other nice thing is that this was my God mother's name :-). Anyway, they have the best drinks and I have to admit when there's a lot of people in there it's a bit noisy, but the service is fabulous and the food is very very good. I have never eaten there where I was disappointed. I'm sure I will return. Love the Green Chile.
Fabulous spot for authentic and delicious New Mexican classics. The margaritas are quite tasty, and a good price for the quality. Excellent nachos, fluffy tamales, flavorful enchiladas, and of course excellent red & green. It was very crowded the night we went, but the service was excellent and fast.
The service is excellent and the food is good Northern New Mexican. I do feel that there is an immense amount of hype that is not justified for this place however. This is in no way the fault of the establishment. You could easily get just as excellent food and drinks in other parts of town without the insanely massive wait times if you are super hungry and don't have reservations.
Definitely check out this Santa Fe institution for a delicious meal that won't break your budget.
Perhaps my expectations were too high as this restaurant came highly recommended. It wasn't bad but it wasn't special either. Again nothing really wrong with it but as everything is relative when you compare Tomasita's to other top ranked restaurants in the area it doesn't come out on top. When in doubt stick with green sauce. I sould have. PS I love (New) Mexican food.
