I generally have anxiety about going to the dentist because of a previous bad experience. I went in to SF Modern Dentistry as a new patient for a check-up and cleaning. EVERYBODY there was pleasant and helpful. Modern Dentistry is an extremely appropriate name, all the equipment was fast and modern. Their procedures are well coordinated and I left feeling well taken care of with zero anxiety! It was actually a pleasant experience and I am definitely going back. Highly recommend.
I had to make an appointment due to an emergency And didn't have to wait forever to be seen and get rid of the pain. The staff is amazing, very friendly and professional they work with you and your financial situations (Ashley is the best). Would recommend Modern Dentistry to anyone looking for a new dentist.
I have been completely traumatized. The last year of my life has been a dental nightmare because of careless practices and lack of integrity. I've had to have all the work I had here redone, and now I have so much dental PTSD that I have to get nitrous every time. I asked them to please refund me on a seriously bad crown job that I had to get redone, and they refused. I wish I would have spent a little more money upfront with a better and more qualified dentist, because it ended up costing me thousands of dollars and a lot of pain and anxiety.
I couldn't even get in the door with this place. I wanted to switch dentists, saw they offered Saturdays, after waiting almost a month to get in I call back only to find that its select Saturdays which is almost never. Have to find another dentist!
I would normally give this place all the stars it deserves as they've helped me plenty times before, but this time is different. It seems that after I was conned into buying their particular insurance that only works for Modern, and forced to pay for a cleaning I did not receive, I am being ignored. I have been trying to call and email this Dentistry for over a week now about a serious infection in my gums and multiple abscessed teeth, but have yet to receive any response from this so called emergency service. Don't buy their insurance if you have no other way out. Don't fall for their scam like I did, unless you want them to never contact you again.
This place is a nightmare.
I should have walked out when I asked the dentist what I should do about my teeth grinding, and his answer was "drink a few glasses of wine before bed every night..."
If you want to keep your teeth, find a different dentist.
