Beautiful hotel in a restored building just off of the Plaza behind the cathedral. Very trendy and spacious with lots of natural light and high ceilings. I was entertained by some of the carry overs from this buildings past inhabitants, fire doors and government office space feel in the halls. The happy hour and breakfast offerings were nice and very popular. The roof top lounge was a lovely way to pass the evening as well.
This hotel is pretty much perfect! The location is everything! The weekday morning desk clerk is amazing! He gave us an early check-in and upgraded us into a King Suite that was wonderful! The bed was very comfortable, clean, and had ample luxurious bedding. This hotel has a daily "Kick back event" (Happy hour on steroids) from 5:30 to 7, guests can attend to eat or by using a card received at check-in get three free drinks (actually good drinks, select cocktails, beer, or wine) My fiance found beers he liked and I had martinis or gin and tonics. They offer a small but fresh and delicious soup and salad bar, a hot dog or nacho station, and a hot buffet that seems to vary each evening. While we were there they offered a baked potato bar, penne in a pesto sauce, great chicken tenders, a taco bar with fantastic rice and black beans. All of this and the top notch, full hot breakfast they provide right there on the second floor in the morning was all just really outstanding! We were able to be very picky about what restaurants we actually went out and tried. We travel for leisure quite a bit, and the Drury really is on top of their game. I would tell anyone going to Santa Fe to only stay at the Drury. The art work on display really grabbed me as well. Anthony, the bartender in Bar Alto on the rooftop is wonderful! So my only tiny suggestion would be is that Bar Alto stayed open a little later. Anthony was easily able to pick up on the vibe we wanted since he was closing soon after we were starting our night. We followed through on all of his suggestions for our time there and every one was perfection. Thanks Anthony!!! I love this place. THANK YOU so much to the valet, front desk, cleaning, food and beverage, and wait staff, and also to management at Drury Plaza! You're all doing an amazing job!
Wonderful hotel. Great bar, pool, gym, and beautiful downstairs lounge area. Room was clean and very comfortable. Nice staff. Tasty breakfast and nice kickback in the afternoon. Wonderful location in SF.
Beautifully designed inside and out! The courtyard is lovely and fits in perfectly with the Plaza. Our room was upgraded to a suite with a fireplace and a huge bathroom. The employees were helpful and so friendly. We skipped the “Kickback Lounge” for the rooftop terrace bar. It was incredible! Amazing views of the surrounding mountains and there is tons of seating! We ate at their restaurant and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. Delicious! Don’t miss out on the Banana Split for 2. So so good.
My husband and I stayed here after we got engaged and had a wonderful experience. We love it so much that we returned the day after our wedding for a mini-moon. Both times the staff showed us the upmost professionalism and kindness. From the valets and doormen to the front desk and managerial staff, they made our stay memorable in the best way and even gave us major room upgrade, that made the stay more enjoyable for us. The property itself is in an amazing location and has the old town feel with new and high end upgrades. Between the kick-back in the afternoon and the totally inclusive breakfast, as well as Eloisa, we never felt the need to leave the hotel. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and cannot wait to go back every year for our anniversary.
