Gorgeous grounds. Excellent - and I mean EXCELLENT service. Everyone is so helpful and yet leaves you to relax and enjoy the experience. It's the perfect amount of attention. The rooms are gorgeous, clean and well stocked. Love this place. We will be back!!!
Great hotel and location. Beautiful rooms (casitas). Two blocks away from the main plaza and Cathedral. Fair prices. Recommend it with no reservations.
For the price I was expecting so much more. Service was slow, especially valet which is the only option for parking. On average it took about 10 minutes to get my car. It took 30 minutes on the day that I checked out, and there were only 4 other guests waiting. Staff was friendly but, friendliness can only make up for slow service to an extent. Electronics in the room did not work. They had to send someone over to fix the TV. The Keurig would power on just to shut off after a few seconds without making coffee.
I was searching for a quiet, uncrowded and elegant bar to have a glass of wine on a Saturday night when I wandered in to the Staab House at La Posada. Intimate, wood paneled, well-appointed rooms in a restored 19th century mansion, full of contemporary art, each with a small fireplace. The bar itself is old school elegance. Outside, are a couple of comfortable seating areas with gas fire pits in the center of the tables. Service was friendly and efficient, if a little scattered. The prices reflect the upscale, old world atmosphere, but all things considered, not unreasonable. One of the best places in town to have an intimate conversation in quiet surroundings.
My room was lovely, spotless, and so quiet. I don't think I've had a more restful stay. I've stayed in the main house and now this Casita. Both visits have been perfect.
