The hotel was in a very nice location and overall was very good in cleanliness and the maids did a wonderful job. The room service, however, is the absolute worst I have had and I have been to hotels in Scotland, Barbados, Rio DeJaneiro, throughout the US, etc.. The food quality was not to par with the room rate and going out to eat for even the simplest foods is most highly recommended. The kids loved the pool, especially the indoor one, but there are better facilities in Santa Fe.
PS. If you eat here. Eat at the Red Sage. Outstanding service and foods. Prepared by chef's not cooks. Serve staff are top notch also. This is not at McDonald's prices. Good luck and hope your visit here was as pleasant as ours.
Spacious, well designed, adequate staff. Would give 5 if had better service in restaurant and room was a little musty.
The resort was beautiful and the staff very pleasant and accommodating. However the TV never worked, a bathroom light was not working and a large event interfered with the stay. I will probably go back.
Excellent Hotel / Casino. The staff alone are 5 star. they were friendly and very helpful. We got a text half way through our stay ask if everything was up to our standards....and if there was anything they could do to bring everything up to our standards. The rooms are clean. One person on here commented on how dirty the restrooms were...Never seen that condition. Restrooms were clean. Casino was clean, but needs a new or better ventilation system to cleanse all the smoke out for us non smokers. The have a non smoking section too, just didn't seem to be as fun or active as the smokers section. No card tables in the non smokers section. I inadvertently left a pair of prescription eye glasses ($700 worth) in the room, 2 days later I had realized my mistake and called the hotel and spoke with Javier (head of house keeping) and he informed me that they in fact did have my glasses and would be happy to ship them back to me in Colorado. Thank You Javier. Everybody seemed to be in a good mood which is rare in reservation casino's. Most of the time there is no customer service......I know I have been to many of these types of casino's. This place is a five star business for us and we will be back. Rooms are a bit high in price, but they are nice. I'm thinking that this hotel / casino is not that old. Thank you Buffalo Thunder and the staff for the excellence in service.
Came for dinner and gambling and had a fun evening. We ate at Red Sage, which was a very good meal if not the most creative menu. It was pricey, but we felt we got our money's worth. The wine selection and cocktail upstaged the food a bit. Dessert was the last impressive party of the meal. Next time I'd sit on the large patio with it's desert view. The casino was nice with a good selection of games and it didn't smell too strongly of smoke. I thought that for a Monday night they should have had more low minimum blackjack tables open. Rules were somewhat different from Vegas but the dealer was helpful. All in all, this was much nicer than I expected for a non-Vegas casino.
