We had such a horrible experience and ended up not eating here. Mainly because of the waiter's (owner's son) rude and arrogant behaviour.
We visited Santa Fe on our vacations and were having a great time until we went to this restaurant. When the owner's son came to take order we asked if we could get plain rice with curry. He rudely replied there is nothing which comes with any curry. When asked that we are not able to find plain rice for placing the order separately, he arrogantly said check the menu, there is peas pulao. Now, how on earth is peas pulao called plain rice?
I was visiting SantaFe with family for thanksgiving and decided to have dinner here as all other Indian restaurants were busy.
We asked if we can get bone chicken curry and his answer was "no restaurant in US gives you bone chicken, you should go back to India to eat that." Are you kidding me? Even if you don't have what I asked for, is this the way you talk to a customer?

Authentic Indian foods. Liked it. Think twice before you go super spicy. I was amazed by how much they can do.
When we complained about his behavior to the manager, owner's son replied " I know how you Indians are". We were really shocked and hurt by this reply. Mr. owner of "India palace", you are earning your bread and butter by selling "Indian food". And even your parents and ancestors are of Indian origin. How can you disrespect Indians. For that matter you don't have any right to insult any person of any origin.
The co-owner/son is charming and a pleasure to speak to. The food was delicious! The buffet offered a lovely selection of chicken/beef/vegetarian options. The atmosphere is nice, though it's smaller than it looks. I'd definitely return.
This behavior really spoiled our day. We'll never ever visit this restaurant in future.
