Great prices compared to Santa Fe Ski area rentals. The staff were very helpful. We had some mix-ups with our gear, which the staff helped us sort out and made sure we were taken care of, payment-wise. Picking up and dropping off was fairly easy. The only recommendation I have is that a second cash register/check-out line be opened somehow. When we were there in December 2016, there one only one check-out line, and it was long. Otherwise, everything else regarding our experience was great.
Made an online reservation a couple of days before we wanted to ski. Arrived at the shop and our ski and boots were already picked out and completely set up for us! We tried on the boots to make sure they were good, paid for the rentals, and were in and out in less than 5 minutes! Couldn't have been a better experience and customer service was excellent. Drop off was super efficient and simple at the end of the day as well. Highly recommend if you need ski/snowboard equipment for Ski Santa Fe. Prices are better than on the mountain too :)
Very friendly staff, and great prices. We stopped by on our way to the ski Santa Fe to see their prices, they gave us a tour and recommended to make reservations online for 10% discount. We've made the reservations 30 minutes prior to arriving to the facility. when we got there they had all our equipment ready and we were in and out in 20 minutes. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Even our kids noticed how good the service was. This was the best ski rental experience we've had and we'll definitely go back to their shop.
Cottams is always a great place to rent gear, or buy the small stuff (helmet, gloves, tourist stuff). I recommend them to everyone over the resort rental shop. It's a much more relaxed setting without the hustle and bustle. Plus, they generally have better equipment than the shop up top (I don't think Ski Santa Fe's rental shop has a single unbent ski pole for rent).
We were pleasantly surprised by Cottam's. We reserved our skis online the night before our ski trip by going to their website and providing them with information of our shoe size, height, and weight. When we arrived, they had our gear ready and waiting. All we did was try it on the boots (all of us fit on the first try!), pay (10% off because we ordered online!), and we were out the door. All in ten minutes. One person couldn't make it, and they didn't mind the cancellation at all as they know these things happen. Staff was great and kind, we had a very positive experience and will be back again next season!
