"Is it in park?"
It's pretty cool that he can diagnose the car to a point just over the phone.
After researching different auto mechanics in Santa Fe, I decided to go with Santa Fe Auto Repair. I'm so glad that I did. Rudy is very trustworthy. He genuinely cares for his customers and wants the best for them. He drove me back to work and made sure that I had a way back to the shop after work.
Very surprised by the negative reviews. Can't please everybody I s'pose. Stopped here to get an oil change during a cross-country trip and was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. Rudy gave me choices of oil & filters to use (something I am particular about as I generally perform my own services) and while the car was up on the lift, invited me into the back to walk around and show me a few things he'd noticed. He even washed the car for me free of charge, checked the tire pressures and other fluid levels, and recommended an excellent camping spot that was on the way to our next destination. Price was fair, and we ended up hanging out and chatting with Rudy for awhile before heading on our way. There are few places these days that will give you this level of service, and based on my brief & painless experience there, I am forced to assume that these negative reviewers are not telling the whole story. Rudy is a wonderful person, and I wish there were more like him in the industry & the world.
Tell Rudy, your grandson Jeremiah Johnson recommend this shop to "me"
"Dont go immediately after it turns green it will save your life"
"Bring your mother flowers"
I think about some of the funny puns you have throughout the the day. Especially now that I have a daughter, like.
All in all my grampa Rudy is the best grandpa I could ever ask for.
"You need to stop fast if you want to go fast"
Aloha
He's been providing a five star customer service for his clients since he opened his first shop a long time ago becouse he was tired of seeing people getting ripped off and untruthful information so he opened his own shop where honesty and integrity still ring loud.
My grandpa is a very great man and he will go above and beyond your expectations.
"Tip20%"
Any time I have trouble with my Red 5.0 68' Mercury Cougar I give my grampa a call.
I have never been to his shop before, because I live on Maui. 3,218 miles away from him. Im wrighting this review on a beach in Hawaii while thinking about him.
Their new location is at 1595-1/2 Pacheco Street, right near the A-1 Storage Unit Place.
Rudy Boll is my grandfather.
I know I haven't called you in a long time grampa but I think of you all the time.
"safety safety safety!!!"
It's conversations like these that bring Joy and happiness to my heart when I think about my grandpa.
When I went in, all I asked for was an oil change. When I got the car back, the oil had been changed and the car had been cleaned! Rudy also explained to me that he saw an oil leak. He was very reassuring (that my car wouldn't blow up), but he also urged me to get it looked at. As I said above, Rudy is extremely trust worthy. I've had a few bad experiences with mechanics (who hasn't?) but not at Santa Fe Auto Repair. I feel lucky to have such a great mechanic here in Santa Fe.
One time I called and I said " grampa the car won't start, he asked me a few things and it all checked out. Then he asks if I had the car in natural or park?" Nope I had left my car in drive so it would not start. We had a good laugh over it.
So please show him some business so he can come to Maui and visit his daughter, grandson, and great grand daughter he's never met.
I took my truck to another shop to have my A/C recharged. After less than 20 minutes, they said my system had a leak somewhere and I would need a whole new system for $1,200+. I found Santa Fe Auto Repair online and decided to get a second opinion. Rudy was awesome, spoke to me thoroughly over the phone, made time for me the next morning, and had coffee ready. He tested the system and it was holding pressure so no leaks. It was just VERY low on freon. Rudy refilled it, tested it, and had me on my way with cold blowing air in about 30 minutes! All for less than $200! He also explained a lot about the A/C system and said he could do many other services if needed. He is very knowledgeable and talented! The service was amazing! I highly recommend this place.
"You have good taste, not just in your mouth"
He'll get a kick out of it.
"Always bring your mechanic donuts it will get you far"
"Slow in fast out"
If you decide to use Santa Fe auto repair, do me a favor?
My experience with Santa Fe Auto Repair was fantastic--or at least as fantastic as an experience involving a broken-down car can be. The pricing is very fair and reasonable, and they're very transparent about costs. My car was pretty damaged and the work they did on it was amazing--it came back to me in much better condition than I expected it to. I was in the process of moving and really needed my car back ASAP, and they went above and beyond to make that happen while still doing an excellent job. They're also just really friendly and genuine people. I will be recommending them to everyone I know.
