Garcia Volkswagen has definitely improved their services. I find the much more personable these days and have had no issues with my services.
Everyone was really great until after the sale. They had promised to put tint on the windows for cost ($166). When I called to make the appointment with the service department they said I would have to get it done through the sales department. Left 3 messages for the sales manager & another in the service department, never returned my calls. I do not have time to deal with unprofessional businesses.
This review is for the service department. HORRIBLE. If you don't know about cars, these people WILL rip you off. One of the pulleys for my serpentine belt broke. They quoted me almost $800 to fix it. I ordered the pulleys and a new belt for under $80 then replaced it myself in under an hour.
Worst possible service experience, I suggest avoiding doing business with Garcia VW at all costs. They have had my wife's VW for over two weeks. Despite at LEAST six calls they never called her back. I called service on her behalf and they ignored me too. Then I called to speak to the GM and had to leave a message. Rather than calling me back himself I suddenly received a call from service who offered me excuse after excuse. Service's poor communication, their changing sand conflicting excuses (which read as dishonesty to me), the weeks of trying to figure out what is happening with our car, along with the GM' dismissal of my request to speak add up the WORST service I've ever received. Not only will I never buy a car from this company I will also never allow them to service my cars again. One star is too many...
Need new break pads? I measured my rotors before I took the car in and they were good. The service department lied and told me they were bad. It's almost like the people who work there are from Santa Fe.
Charged me $2000 to fix wipeds ans transmission problem when I came in to see why engine light and ECP light were on and car wouldn't start properly. That was a month ago and now they refuse to see my car because it had the engine replaced two years ago (something they already knew). They refuse service entirely even to see why they couldn't fix these prior issues that were the reason for my initial visit. I've been a loyal VW customer since my mom's rabbit growing up but after spending loads on this 2012 Beetle that I'm still paying for with service problems every few months and apathetic customer service dude I'm done.
