I recently purchased a new Subaru that had some electronic issues right at the start. My salesperson and the service people have been right on it and doing what it will take to make it right. We are really pleased with the care and expertise being offered by Victor, Sam, and Ted. This is my first Subaru and it was disappointing to have a problem but the way it is being dealt with is making me a loyal customer and I expect to be a long time Subaru owner and work with this dealership now and in the future.
Not as accommodating as they lead you to believe. Perhaps service not as good as one would expect. Need more than an hour to detect an obvious rattle in the door, can't do it Saturday because they are short-staffed which is really short-sighted on their part as most people NEED service on weekends as IT'S THE ONLY TIME THEY HAVE WHEN YOU YOUR HOURS ARE 8-5 Mon-Fri. It's not like a restaurant where some people can afford to eat out and for some its a treat. Last subaru I buy...
Victor was a wonderful salesman! We are still deciding on car so will update if we actually buy from them...
Real helpful and to the point. Very knowledgeable technicians. Honest salesmanship with little to no overselling or hassle. Best dealership in Santa Fe, hands down.
I bought a 2015 Subaru legacy in June of 2015. It is now November 2017. In the past 2.5 years I have put 34,000 on it (alot of highway miles) and so far encountered the following problems. I have had a hard time on multiple different occasions where I put the key in the ignition and I really have to crank it and I mean really put some muscle into it in order to just get the car to start. I took it in to get this problem looked at and they said they "smoothed" out the ignition so it wouldn't give me this problem anymore and the key would be very smooth, and this problem is still occurring to this day every once in awhile. The car is an automatic CVT. I have had to get the EBS system worked on due to recalls. Windshield wiper blades broke on me around 12,000 miles and were replaced under warranty. I went out to start my car one random day around 25,000 miles and the car suddenly would not go into gear ( drive or reverse ) it was really jumpy and inoperable, so I used Subaru roadside assistance and they kept my car for about 2 weeks before they could even work on my car. After waiting 2 weeks they called me and told me they were able to pin point the problem to the CVT but couldn't diagnose it further, so they replaced the transmission with what they told me was a brand new CVT transmission. After receiving my car and signing the paperwork for what was wrong with it, I noticed on the paperwork it said "rebuilt" CVT, so I asked the technician and it turned out the previous technician had lied to me about the CVT being brand new because they did not give me a brand new CVT. After they put in the "new" CVT transmission the car ran good for about 5,000 miles and than it started feeling really crappy and shifting hard and acting wierd. I drove it for awhile and the car eventually stopped working and became inoperable around 33,000 miles. I had to wait another 2-3 week period for my car to be serviced and checked. After they checked the car they told me that the something was wrong on the CVT transmission and they had to replace some parts on the "brand new" transmission. About two weeks after having the CVT transmission serviced for the 2nd time my car began to have trouble starting and you could tell that the something was wrong with the battery. My car now has around 34,000 miles and the battery is bad. It is not holding a charge and I need to get the car jumped with booster cables in order to start it. Also keep in mind I have never left any dome lights or any unnecessary lights on as the car has lights that turn off by themselves, I also do not sit in my car listening to the radio or anything of that nature. The battery has a 3 year/ 36,000 mile warranty so it will get replaced under warranty but it is just another example of what should not go wrong on a brand new car. Another thing that is horrible about Subaru in New Mexico is the wait you have to wait just for you car to be looked at or serviced. All together my car was in-operable and in the shop being worked on for a total of 4-5 weeks and I never received a loaner or free rental vehicle through Subaru to be used. I had to just continue paying my car payments for a car that i couldn't use and didn't get offered another loaner to use during that time. The typical wait time from the day you call to set an appointment till the actual day you are seen is about 2-3 weeks and this is at either ABQ location. That gives me the impression that Subaru is either really busy with appointments fixing alot of broken down Subarus, or they could just be super short staffed at both locations (which doesn't seem to be the case). This is the most unreliable car I have ever owned and it definitely doesn't reflect the reliability that Subaru brags about. I purchased Subaru believing they were reliable, and used quality parts. The 2015 Subaru Legacy that I own does not reflect either of these. I WOULD NOT recommend anyone purchase a Subaru, especially one with a CVT transmission. BRAND NEW CAR BUYERS BEWARE OF NEW SUBARU CVT TRANSMISSION.
