Waiting for Dr. running an hour and a half behind schedule. Sure hope they hurry dont like this waiting...
I had hip replacement surgery on May 11, 2015 from Dr. John Garcia and his excellent and well-organized team at the PMC. I had a spinal block, so I was awake during the procedure, which was scary to my mind, knowing that my femur was being sawed off, but there was a warm, caring set of eyes on my left. Many times during the hour-long procedure, I turned to my left and felt calmed and reassured that everything would be alright. The whole staff was wonderful. Just the pain meds were a bit much, and became cognitively impaired and almost stopped breathing. Luckily, my sister asked that I be taken off all pain meds immediately, and I improved both physically and mentally. Never any pain. Now on my 16th day post-op, I feel more mobile every day.
I cannot say enough about how incredible the staff is at Christus St. Vincent Physicians Medical Center, from the receptionist, to the RNs to the anesthesiologists - everyone was kind and helpful and friendly. My surgery was done on very short notice - it was literally scheduled less than 24 hours prior - and I was never once made to feel that, as a late-added patient, that there was any sort of imposition. Again, I can't say enough about the staff and the services provided; they were wonderful.
today my mother had foot surgery, DR. S and his staff were very professional, very courteous, and meticulous about their work,, THANK YOU.
