Dr. Botwin is always so friendly and thorough. He is very professional.
They are always so friendly here not to mention great at what they do. They are thorough and patient. The glasses a bit pricey but very nice. They will guide you through the buying process and are always spot on when it comes to what frames fit my face.
Great experience, friendly staff and great service! Good selection on glasses and contacts! Would recommend 10/10 to friends and family!
Would definitely recommend this shop and eye doctors.
7/19 Update. The owner called me. He was obviously upset by my review and went into a rant without giving me a chance to speak. He stated he had no incentives to help if I keep my review posted and that if I wanted help fixing these issues, I needed to remove my review. When I finally was able to get a word in, I told him that I spoke to Ray this morning, and he said he was in charge. The owner corrected that misinformation and reiterated that he was willing to help me IF I removed my review. I'm sorry, but I waited several months before posting and dealing with needless back and forth. After speaking with Ray this morning, I knew I had to warn others so they don't have to deal with this headache. I'm out several hundred dollars, don't have glasses, and now the owner is trying to intimidate me versus solving the problem that started in February.
This place is awful. There have zero customer service, most of the staff is rude (to be fair, one of the younger male doctor seemed very friendly...but unfortunately I did not see him). My eye doctor was very monotoned and seemed to just go through the motions; he seemed burned out. The only time he made eye contact was when he was examining me. The front desk staff was rude and snippy if you asked any questions. The optical services reps where only polite when you are first try on glasses, but then became annoyed if you tried on more than 3. Im indecisive and like to try on many different styles before I make a decision. I can understand that unlocking and then relocking can become annoying, but perhaps let a person have a chance to shop before you lock the glasses back up. Their prices were extremely high; I found a pair I like but they wanted almost 600 for them. I searched online and order the same pair for 250. I made the biggest mistake and dropped off my new frames and had them put the lens in. I did that back in February....and I still dont have them. Four times they messed up the lens. And the people who work in the optical keep passing the buck on why things are wrong. They should check to see if the lens are correct BEFORE they contact you to come and pick them up. My prism was off centered twice, there were waves in the lens another time, and this last time something was wrong (I couldnt focus on things up close...that has never happened before) and of course they are denying anything is. Each time they send off my glasses it takes a couple of weeks to get back. However, this past time, it took almost 3 months...BUT they came in on 5/31. They said they sent me a text on 5/31 but I never received that text. Interestingly, I called them in June and was told they were not ready. I called them again on July 18th when I got back from out of town, I was told they were in. I found they had been there for almost 2 months! When I ask the rep why I wasnt contacted, they said they sent me ONE text message and it was my responsibility to follow-up. If I never received it and was told a few weeks later that they werent ready, how am I supposed to know? The worst remark she made was to tell me that this wasnt her issue since she had only been there for a month, it wasnt her responsibility since this had been an ongoing issue. I called the manager, Ray, the next day, and I can see where the staff get their poor attitude from. He said pretty much the same thing, it is the insurance fault for making the mistakes, but didnt own up to have my glasses for almost 2 months and only sending ONE text message. The other times my glasses were ready I got emails and text messages. He said it was my responsibility to follow up since I was "notified". When I told him I called in June and was told they were not ready, he still implied it was my fault for not knowing they were ready. Ray informed me that I am now outside my window with Davis thanks to their constant mistakes. He offered me a refund BUT stated I need to go through my insurance company and deal with them. Im sorry, but I paid Botwin, so I should get my refund through them. DO NOT COME HERE.
Once you walk through the door the staff is friendly and very helpful. Dr. Botwin was informative and professional. Overall my first time experience was awesome. That alone will keep my family coming back. Thank you for a great experience. The selection of frames is awesome by the way.
They are good eye group and as other comments have stated the doctors there except for one of the sons are so monotone. They speak like if they were robots and hardly have an actual human conversation. I wonder what goes through their minds as they do their work. Obviously their passion for their job has faded.
