I am very familiar with El Castillo. My Mother and Father-in -Law both resided there.
Two voicemails and one visit to the facility and still NO ONE will call back. If they are this inattentive to potential new customers I can only imagine the indifference once you are ensconced there.
Anyway, I couldn't recommend El Castillo more highly. Its care for and understanding of the needs of its residents is superlative.
Our family recognized that the care provided to him in the Nursing Center was far beyond what we could have ever expected.
In January of this year my Father-in-Law passed from a short term illness.
The nursing center provided excellent care to both my Mother & Father-in-Law. When he left the hospital he received such expert care. The staff of the nursing center provided everything our family could ever have required. Thank you to all the nursing staff for everything they provided to our family. El Castillo is am amazing community and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a long term "Home" for themselves or a loved one.
I love this place.. I used to work here back in 2004 and let me tell you it was the best place I have ever worked.
In February 2016 I contacted ElCastillo regarding my mother who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's Dementia. I was referred to Helen Langworthy, Nursing Director. Since my meeting with Ms. Langworthy she has offered our family valued support. As we navigated unknown territories trying to decide what was best for our personal situation. Helen's approach was much different in regard to what I had encountered at any of the other Santa Fe facilities. She was extremely knowledgeable about Alzheimer's Dementia and Memory Care, offering kind and helpful advice. She encouraged us to explore all of the Santa fe options offering Memory Care. Her no pressure approach was welcoming and after comparing El Castillo to the other options available to us we decided that The Garden Memory Unit at El Castillo is indeed the best choice for our family member. Our thanks to Ms. Langworthy for all of the valuable information she has provided to us.
I am an Episcopal priest (now retired), who over the years has frequently visited many, many residents at El Castillo, and EVERY ONE of them has told me how happy they were to have chosen to live there. I know from my experience visiting and the recommendation of ALL the people I visited there that El Castillo takes superb care of all its residents.
