Time to move on and not play guinea pig. Very disappointed in uncaring supporting staff

This clinic does not even rate 1 star. I am reviewing IMS and specifically PA Danny Maes on the day of my would-be appointment. From my first "experience" with this practice, I've seen red flags, but persisted. Now wishing I'd not wasted my time. I filled out a form for a free thyroid screening for thyroid nodules and submitted it 2 months ago. I never heard from IMS. I then began calling and leaving messages as I think I might have a nodule. Once again, no callback from anyone. I then stopped into the office a couple weeks ago. The receptionist had me speak to the person in charge of these screenings. She was apologetic but offered no explanation. When I told her I suspected I have a nodule she suggested I go ahead and make an appointment with one of the physicians and suggested PA Danny Maes. Another red flag while standing there making my appointment: 3 people who approached the reception desk all said they had called and left messages, but received no callbacks!! My appointment was scheduled for today at 1 pm. Shortly after 1 a nice young man took my vitals and a brief medical history and placed me in an exam room where I waited for a full hour and a half for Mr. Maes. He was back and forth many times while I sat in the exam room with door open, yet no one stopped in or checked back on me. Though we've never met, I learned who Mr. Maes was when a pharmaceutical rep waiting in the hall asked some nurse what he looked like. Low and behold, Mr. Maes stopped and had at least a 10 minute conversation with this guy right outside the open door where I was waiting. But he didn't come in directly after, no he got in a few more trips down the hall. I am livid by this time and when he finally came in and asked how I was (didn't introduce himself) I replied I was fuming as I'd been waiting an hour and a half and did not feel this was a great way to begin. I also told him about the 0 callbacks leading up to this appointment. His reply: well i guess there's nothing for us to talk about today then...

Was much better 10 days ago, but now after taking the new prescription (with no plan should it not work) it-s difficult to remember my feeling worse ever. You should know it takes FOUR weeks to get initial tests back.

If you're sick go somewhere else.

When I asked at my last visit, the front desk receptionist said it looked like they hadn't even been sent in yet to my insurance to find out. Also maybe try VERBALLY telling your customers that this may not be covered?! So many places rely on fine print. Is it really such a hassle to mention it it 30 seconds?!

I have been a regular patient since February and for the most part, they have been terrific. I do recommend them. I only give them a four star, because there was one time when I came in at 7:30am for a 7:45am appointment, signed in as you are supposed to and they simply "forgot" about me. At 8:45am I went up the desk to inquire and they said "I got never signed in..." But other than that one time, they have given pretty good.

I am a long-time patient of Internal Medicine Specialists and I have to say the doctors are excellent. My doctor, Joshua Brown, listens carefully, is obviously well-versed in medical science, and uses the latest medical technology for thorough physical exams. I recommend this practice very highly!

Wow. normally don't leave reviews, but I can't tell you how disappointed I am with their intake and billing process. Been going for a MONTH AND A HALF- asked EVERY TIME for an update on billing or if my insurance is covering, and just found out TODAY that they have never been accepted and that I will be responsible for all charges... Apparently it was my responsibility to ensure they were covered (which I will take responsibility for) but no one could have notified me after the first was denied?! Again- it's been 6 WEEKS!

I asked for his clinic Managers name, which he provided. Of course she wasn't available and, big surprise, it's now late the same day and, you guessed it, no call back. Unbelievable!!
